The Little Black Book

I have a little black book at home with many many dreams that I have, ambitions, goals both big and small. Some are personal, many top secret but here are a few I can share with you.

Build my own rowing boat and row an ocean

I've always loved wood and boats and the idea of building my own rowing boat from scratch and then doing a long row would be a dream come true. I am going to save this idea for later in life, something to look forward to.

Arctic Ironman

I've always liked the idea of pushing myself and heading up to the arctic and doing an extreme cold water, snowy Ironman Triathlon excites me a lot. Watch this space.

Live on a island

I've always liked the idea of spending a significant amount of time, a year perhaps, on a remote island living self sufficiently. Ideally somewhere where I can make stuff, like a cabin and fish for food.

Bring out my own bicycle

I love steel bikes and I have always dreams that one day I'll work on my own range of bikes. Perhaps I'll team up with someone who knows how to build a bike and together we'll make the best bike in the world. Something to go to the shops, or to cycle to Australia.

Running the length of Africa

This has been on my mind for years. I'd love to run from Cairo to Cape Town down the east coast of Africa. I fancy doing this in my retirement. I just want to be: 'That old running guy'.
